Combo Recipes – Ham, Cheese and Bacon Omelette

There are times when we only have to cook for one person, the most important of all: yourself. Most of the recipes are intended for more than four diners, so today we plan a versatile dish that you can enjoy at breakfast or perhaps as an aperitif. In ten minutes you get a fluffy ham, cheese, and bacon omelette, prepared in individual portions. If you were looking for a rich recipe for a person, this may be the most suitable for you to include on your menu.

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup of bacon (bacon)
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/4 cup chopped ham
  • 1/4 cup grated or cubed cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

1. In a hot skillet, brown the bacon and then dice it. Reserve the fat released by the bacon.

2. Beat the eggs in a bowl and add the ham, cheese, and cooked bacon. Add salt and pepper to taste.

3. Return to the fire the pan in which you browned the bacon and add it to the egg mixture.

4. Let the tortilla curdle, occasionally stirring the beaten eggs.

5. Turn the tortilla over the pan with a large plate and let it brown on the other side.

6. Serve immediately.

Best Ham and Cheese Empanadas Cooking

In Venezuela, these empanadas made with puff pastry are called pastelitos. They are very popular for breakfast, a true delight! The fillings can vary: there are cheese, ham and cheese, chicken, meat, ricotta, and spinach, among other flavors. I prepare them at home very often, as they are the favorites of my family. Prepare them and surprise your family with a different and very tasty breakfast!

Ingredients:

  • two Pillsbury┬« Puff Pastry Puff Pastry Sheets
  • 1 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • one cup ham, chopped into small pieces
  • one egg
  • one tablespoon of water
  • one tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 375 ┬░ F.

2. Carefully roll out the puff pastry. Using a circular cutter, cut the dough into circles of about 9 inches.

3. Mix the cheese and ham in a small bowl. Reservation.

4. Add 2 tablespoons of the cheese and ham mixture in the center of each circle. Fold and seal the edges with the teeth of a fork.

5. Mix the egg with the water. Reservation.

6. Place the empanadas on a large baking sheet and brush them with the egg mixture. Sprinkle with sesame seeds, if desired.

7. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until patties are golden brown.

8. Serve immediately.

How to prepare Skewers of Ham

5 Ingredients
1 Lb. Of cooked ham cut into 1-inch cubes
1 (8 oz) can of pineapple chunks in unsweetened juice, drained

3/4 Cup of strawberry jelly
A spoonful of prepared mustard

Heat the grill.

Assemble alternating the ham, pineapple, and tomatoes in the metal sticks for skewers of 10 inches.

In a small microwave bowl, mix jelly and mustard. Heat in the microwave for 1 to 2 minutes or until the jelly melts. Stir to combine. Spread 3 to 4 tablespoons of jelly on skewers.

When the grill is hot, place the skewers on the gas grill over medium heat or on the charcoal grill 4 to 6 inches away from medium-sized coals. Cook 10 to 12 minutes or until heated through, turning once. Serve with the remaining jelly mixture.
